How does the date difference calculation work?
The calculator does not simply subtract years — it works through the difference step by step: it starts with full years, then counts the remaining months, and finally the leftover days. At each step, it accounts for the actual number of days in each month and handles leap years where needed.
For example: entering March 15, 1990 and July 22, 1995 gives a result of 5 years, 4 months, and 7 days — not just 5 years. That extra precision is what separates a proper calculation from a quick estimate.
